A free public performance by traditional singers Hazel Dickens and Helen Schneyer will take place at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 15, at the Library of Congress' Jefferson Building, Coolidge Auditorium, 10 First St. S.E., in Washington, D.C.

Dickens and Schneyer are both well-known performers of traditional american music, recognized for their hard-hitting compositions, haunting vocals and emotional impact.

60 Seconds:

A free public performance by traditional Singers Hazel Dickens and Helen Schneyer will take place at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 15, at the Library of Congress' Jefferson Building, Coolidge Auditorium, 10 First St. S.E., in Washington, D.C. No tickets are required.

Hazel Dickens, known for her hard-hitting compositions and haunting vocals, will appear with an all-star band, including Dudley Connell of the seldom seen. Dickens' songs and vocals have been featured in films and she has recorded several albums.

Helen Schneyer moves the audience with the emotional impact of her vocals, whether she is singin old ballads, victorian parlor songs or gospel music. Schneyer has recorded three albums and has a new release in the works.
