George Duran, host of Food Network’s “Ham on the Street” and one season of “Secret Life Of,” is a chef and entertainer. While at New York University, pursuing his interests in television and radio production, he won an award for Best Radio Talk Show from the National Association of College Broadcasters. To pursue his other interest -- food, he moved to Paris and attended culinary school at the Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise Groupe Ferrandi. He also hosted the “Pop Cuisine” show on Cuisine TV (France’s culinary network), which was awarded a d’Or (French Emmy) for Best Cable Show and a 2003 Silver Grape Gastronomic Award. He is the author of Take This Dish and Twist It (Meredith, 2008) and lives on Long Island, New York.
