Author Biography

Laura Lippman

Laura Lippman

Laura Lippman began her writing life as a newspaper reporter in Texas before coming to Baltimore where she has been a newspaper reporter at The Sun for twelve years. Her first novel, Baltimore Blues (1997), introduced PI Tess Monaghan. Subsequent novels in that series have won many mystery awards including the Edgar, the Agatha, the Shamus, and the Anthony awards. Her most recent book is Every Secret Thing (William Morrow, 2003). She lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
